Default Looking for pre-72 Formula Ford Project

If anyone out there knows of any sad and lonely FF's that are in desperate need of some tender loving care let me know! Looking for pre-1972. I don't mind if it's a real desperate project - I like a challenge! PM me if you have or know of an orphan needing a home!

I have a Lola T342 in pieces. No tranny or engine. It need two rear lower a-arms and a front lower a-arm. These can be obtained from Pat Prince. It also needs axles and uprights. Wayne Mitchell is the source for these. He is head of tech for VARA. I have been collecting all the other hard to find pieces. I have the three SCCA log books going back to 1975. $3000 for all of it. Default Legrand Project Maybe

    Hi there,

I have a 1972 Legrand MK. 15 air cooled super vee project that might fit your search. Probably the only MK 15 built according to the records we have from the Legrand registry. It's a complete rolling chassis, but I don't have the engine. I do have the original Hewland MK 8 transaxle that was in the car. The original spun aluminum Legrand wheels and some suspension spares. No bodywork, short of the nose. I have all the original factory drawings, SCCA log book, set up sheets, many handwritten notes and templates from Red LeGrand. The car was professional raced in the SCCA Super Vee Gold Cup series and national SCCA races in '72 through '74 and then the car was converted many years ago to race as Formula Ford (by the gentlemen I purchased it from), and he raced it as a Formula Ford for lots of years in the SCCA SF Region.

This is a great project for someone who has the time. I have another 1978 Wheeler Super Vee and just don't have the time nor the garage space to finish this one as I had hoped. PM me if you're interested.

Thanks! Sounds like an interesting project. For the moment I'd like to hold out for a pre-72 FF.

why do u want pre 72 for USA race scene ?
I didn't think they ran pre 72 series like they do in UK

a lot easier to buy a 74 -78 car to race in usa

Because I like the so called 'cigar' shaped cars that generally are pre '72.
