I just got the word that Chris Billings of The Shock Shop in Portland passed away last night. Super guy and a great human being, who put together a great shock.

Very sad. I worked closely with Chris on shocks for many years. He was only 68. A good friend.

I am so sad to hear this. Chris could not have been more helpful to me over the years, including after he retired. A real gentleman with a true racer's heart.

Got a lot of good shock recommendations from Chris.

A little background reading about his interest in shocks: http://www.shock-shop.com/Home-Misc/About.php If I recall correctly, he was trying to sell his business, but never found someone he felt was passionate enough to take it on.

Chris was one of the best people period.

Two great racers in one day. Too much to comprehend.

oh no... thats terrible news, he was gracious enough to "make me learn" in order to work on my dampers - invaluable education over a few brief calls and lots of "homework assignments" will be missed !!
