Default Help - getting another Formula Ford restored!

    Hi Everyone,

We're in the process of restoring a Hawke DL9- 1972 formula ford. I need uprights. I know the uprights for the DL9 are the same or similar to other Hawke cars (such as DL2, DL11, DL12 etc.).

I'm hoping to find a hawke owner with spares for sale- or if necessary we will recreate/reproduce the uprights.

I'm sure our fellow Apex racers must know Hawke owners that don't look at Apex that might be able to help.

    Thank you in advance. Paul

    Default Restoration

You may want to get Dave Clubine of Britain West on the phone. I know he restored a DL2 because I sold it to him years ago. I'm sure he has sold it but may know where to locate stuff you need. Good guy- him and his dad have been around a long time.

    Default Hawke Uprights.

In y various FF endeavors I have a set of rear patterns which I believe are Hawke. If interested I will photo them and send to you. If you have photos of what you need send to me and we can see if we may have a solution. I have no parts from these tools. I am capable of machining and handling the foundry dealings.

    Default Hawke Uprights

I think Pat Prince has made DL15/17/19 front and rear uprights. Not sure if they are identical to the DL9 uprights. I can send photos of my DL17 uprights if that helps.

    Cheers, Joe

I second that Pat Prince is the guy to talk to. I have a Hawke DL12 that I run with Midwestern Council, I have not needed spare uprights but have been told Pat has patterns for these. Only a few hours from Chicago if you want to have a look at the car some time to take measurements.

Thank you for all the suggestions.
Hoping to buy a used set- even if they need work vs buying new.
