Come on Jeremy!
Gutted. A yellow? Ugh.
Did the first two overtake the safety car!?
The front 2 passed the pace car on the back straight under FCY. Penalties coming?

What a heartbreaking race for many of the racers. JR had them covered before dropping out. Alex was very fast. Looked like Hill was close to an attempt to get what would have been a popular win. Cooper worked hard all week and had his usual strong start before (I'm assuming) cooling issues.

Remind me why, on a track just over two miles long, we can't get a truck to pick up a car in the space of five laps, and instead decide national championships by throwing the checkered flag three laps early? Clearly I must be missing something.
(For those keeping score, this wasn't the first time this weekend.)
Coop says on Facebook that the cooling was fixed but lost brakes.
Congrats Kevin!! He worked hard and consistant all week and it was a well deserved victory!!!
David, I'm assuming you are talkmg about the p1 race?? I think Kirk had a real good shot at the victory with a lap left. His car had wicked straight line speed. If he was able to out run James to T4 it could have been a wrap.

What's up with all the full course cautions? Never been to the runoffs, is this normal. Why no local cautions and the race continuing.
Congratulations to Kevin Roggenbuck, Nick Belling, Greg Moon and the rest of their team.
They made several trips to Mid-Ohio during the year, then tested, improving the car and driver throughout the process. On Saturday, driver and crew stepped up and got the job done. They were the best on the day. I did not get a chance to offer my congratulations personally, but thought Kevin was a very deserving champion. Great job!

Does anyone have any in-car video of the race??
Thanks
Sean
Congrats to Kevin Roggenbuck and his team for winning the runoffs - extremely well done, guys!
As for video, unfortunately we got no video from the race. Not sure what happened, but when we went to download the file there wasn't anything there.
Murphy raises his ugly head again...
Coop posted a short video on youtube.
Hello
So at the runoffs FB's at tech on Monday was questioned about " do you have a restrictor in the engine" well NOBODY had restrictors so the end result was they felt that the rules were not clear on if we needed them or not, the question is for 2017 are we REQUIRED to have them if we are using 2007-2008 gsxr 1000 engines and if so how much do the cause in HP lost and who sells them?
I know the P2 guys use 38.5 MM what HP do they make with them???
I thought they formally decided no restrictors are needed/required (at this time).

The current copy of the GCR includes a restrictor requirement for all 2008 and newer engines. As far as I can tell this was slipped in without any notice in the Fastrack. So what is one to believe? I am not an SCCA rules expert, how does one go about obtaining a clarification?

Perhaps this will clarify the situation ..... but probably not.

Clear as mud as typical for SCCA.
March letter indicates NO restrictors. No mention of restrictors in any subsequent Fastrack (as far as I see) then out of the blue, the GCR from July on has a restrictor requirement.
And people wonder why the class is dwindling.

This specification became an issue after the first qualifying of the Runoffs when five cars were penalized because of missing restrictors. An Error and Omission action was submitted to the Court of Appeals which found that the restrictor requirement was an error in the current GCR. The GCR will be corrected ASAP. probably in the November version.

Was the wider front tire a normal thing all season long on Jeremy's car or just a decision for Mid-O?
Also that Piper back there looks like it is a wee bit twitchy!
