Default GLC - Grattan June 25-26

Just a reminder. Only a couple of weeks until the next GLC Series of races (#3 &#4) for Ford powered FC and CFC, at Grattan Raceway. If you haven't driven this entertaining race course with it myriad of corners and it's very long front straight, you have missed something.
The track has an open pratice on Friday (run by the track).

Hey - that's my car... C Ross on here anywhere? I'd love to pick his brain about how the car was setup under his ownership.

Nice pic of me all crossed up Keith! Glad you didn't publish the photo of my spin a few frames later!

Lot's of drivers spin at that corner, so I don't bother taking photos of it, so you have been spared !

If I stop doing the F2KCS, I might join the GLC, in large part to get to run at Grattan again! Are Zetec's allowed?

    Dave,
Yes, they are allowed. The GLC is for Ford powered FC and CFC (no air cooled Super-Vees) But, their Min weight for our group is #1250.
How long has it been since you drove there ?

    Last ran there in 2006.

I already have ~25-lb of ballast plus a 22-lb 1/8 steel belly-pan (below the 0.090 aluminum one) to make 1200 (1210 with the F2KCS radials) - adding another 50 lb would be a challenge.

If I took all the ballast out I could get down to under 1170 which was the minimum when I first ran FC in 1988.

    Default Grattan Next Weekend

Looks like a really good turnout for next weekend in both FC and CFC. GLC competitors make up the majority of the race group. Also, Grattan has the best Saturday nights dinners of any track. Can't wait!

Keith and the guys continue to put on a great show in the GLC. With all this talk on Apexspeed about where to race and how to get your money's worth - there is no doubt the GLC is the best place. It's not even close.

I wish I could join you guys. My schedule unfortunately will not work. I am hoping to come to Waterford (the track that owns my heart).

Good luck to everyone and sorry I am going to miss that awesome lunch as well Kim!!
