It was a hoot! There were 17 EFFs
We're back to running the twistier version on the back side (extra turns up toward the grandstands) which I prefer (much slower approach to the tire wall before the tower turn) though it does take away that short-chute passing zone.
We spent more time than anyone liked behind the safety car because folks tended to have problems in bad places. Not nearly as much car-nage as I gather happened in the Enduro. There was some serious racing going on around us among the Mazdas, which made for a number of spooky situations that mostly worked themselves out (4-wide exiting the Looper!). Great racing throughout the EFF field.
Jens had a meeting to discuss summer tour options. There are some good ones, with enough interest to make them happen. He'll be sending out a message with options and costs. Sean asked if we would mind letting him run the SCCA slicks so he could set up his new DB1 for a trip to the Runoffs. Since he's already at least a second/lap quicker than any of us nobody could see it would matter...

Cool ! Thanks for the heads up Tim. Sounds like fun. Sean's car is DB6, and I'm sure he'll be a contender if he goes in that direction.
Rumor is that Steve Temple went to the Majors race at Thunderhill and won his first ever outing on slicks...
Sean's even quicker than Steve, far more experienced, but there's a huge element of luck at the Runoffs.
