Production classes at Mid-Ohio Majors

Any idea why the huge production turnout for the Mid-Ohio majors? Currently there are 26 GT-Lite's. The group with HP, FP and EP is over subscribed at 86 entries.

Seems odd to me.

I really hope they don't cram the open wheels together into less groups to make up for it!

Some groups are already oversubscribed.

Already 264 entries and still more than two months til the race.

One good thing is that the entry, IIRC is $100 less than the same race was last year.

Anyone planning to attend the Mid Ohio Majors in an open wheel or prototype car is encouraged to go ahead and register on Motorsportsreg.com (click here for the Mid Ohio Event Page). The production classes have already registered more than the 65-car per group limit, and they are looking at the low registration in our groups and considering a schedule change.

You do not have to pay until just before the event to complete you registration.
