    Default ApexSpeed 2015 League Race #8 - Mid Ohio - Mar 1st

At our last race, everyone running at the end finished on the podium!! How wonderful is that?

Next on the schedule is Mid-Ohio!! A fantastic rFactor representation from the VLM modding group. I'm looking forward to this one!

Here are the point standings heading into the event. Non-starts are shown in black. It seems everyone other than Keith and Roger have missed two races. I'll be back for the next go-round, just need to reinstall SRF I believe...

We can drop the lowest two races if you guys want. Obligations more important than sim racing do come up, believe it or not!

That looks like v1 in the link. We have v2.02 on the server, I think. If you can't find it, I'll share it out when I get home.

Update: 2.02 could be the rF2 version. I'm completely lost now. Try Roger's link and see if you can get in.

I vote we drop all races except VIR....

Not because I ran well there but rather.... uhhhhh.... hmmmm..... Its physically closest to our nations capitol (except for Roger who we will allow to drop VIR as well as all other rounds if he so chooses).

    Just sayin'

I used that download the other night and it worked.

I have already blocked VIR out of my memory and will not be revisiting it mentally any time soon. But if someone wants to remind me what happened last week at Mon-Tremblant that would be great as I seem to be missing a lot of days from last week.

I recall what in hind sight appear to be lies about how you were sick, blah blah blah, heavy medication, blah blah blah, probably wont drive well, blah blah blah. I know this now to be a lie because of the body parts that you then proceeded to kick as I watched you all drive off into the sunset.

Have I blamed my controller yet???? Yes? Shoot, that leaves only the driver. I hate it when that happens. Hey, for next race, could you pass the cough syrup?

    Default Track limits

Okay, are we respecting the curb on the inside of turn 1 as the track limit? I know that I have seen certain series (not to mention names but they are more known for only turning left) that allowed drivers to dive all the way inside that curb effectively using pit exit as racing surface. I am trying to figure out where my half-ish second gap is and that is about 0.3.

I stayed right of the curb on my laps but was contimplaiting the same thing as you. Then i remembered there isn't a chance of getting this pig of a car to turn in anyway.

Middle sector and last corner is where all the time is.

A good general rule to follow with our league is if you wouldn't intentionally do it in your real car, try not to in the sim. In this case, you should try to stay to the right of the pit out curbs in T1 to avoid any contact with someone who may be exiting the pits.

Okay, I will ask... Who is in tonight?

Oh, and for the record, my laps on the ApexSpeed server were all done to the right of the curb in turn one. My only testing of an alternate line was done on my desktop only.

I do like the simulation of this track. Don't know if it is reflective of real life but the simulator makes it a patience track. Pushing harder is not usually faster as you are more likely to miss that perfect line by just a bit. Should be a fun race.

I'm in... I may jump on a little early to get some more practice time in.

It is a fantastic representation of Mid-Ohio. I've driven it in real life only a couple of race weekends, but as far as I can remember it's spot on. It is indeed a patience track for a lot of the corners especially the keyhole, madness, and the carousel.
