    I don't have first hand knowledge, but I've heard that gas powered golf karts are preferred in the paddock over electric. I think it is because gas has more power for towing cars, etc.

    Rule of thumb in the Champ car paddock is to go with gas. When it runs out, you walk back to the transporter and carry a few gallons back, problem solved. If its electric, you're borrowing someone elses to tow it back and then its likely a dead soldier for the rest of the day while charging.

    I am pretty sure most electric carts should give more than weekends worth of power. If it is not, you need new batteries.

    Most teams have generators. When not in use, just plug it in.
