We are pleased to present the twelfth year of the Formula First Championship now known as the Hoosier Tire Formula First Championship. This year we are changing our format and points to suit both demographics and track interests. We will have a set of core championship events but we are also planning on at least 3 adjunct events which will be outside the normal geographic boundaries. So in total 8 events are planned and depending upon interest, the number can go even higher. The core is set so let’s take a look.
We start off the season in early June at Black Hawk Farms, Next in Mid July we go to Mid Ohio. In August we go into our second year at the new spectacular PIRC track at Pittsburgh. In our only non SCCA event we will be running with The Midwest Council and the Madison Sports Car Club at the newly repaved Gingerman Circuit in Michigan. This is our first event with Midwest Council and we are looking forward to racing with them. Finally the season comes to an end at the ARRC in Atlanta, with what plans to be a double point race in our championship.
The championship point structure will be included with the new rules published in February.
