The good news is with laps this short, it does not take long to realize how disappointed you are with that last lap time.

I have tried everything known to man and cannot break into the 1:02 zone. I have even tried asymmetric setups. The bigger problem is that with Daytona and Barber, I could at least figure out when I got it right and wrong (and the difference was only a few tenths). At Lime Rock, some of the best lap times I thought I really got it wrong and some of the worst I thought I nailed it. That said, while I may not be on pole, I can consistently turn low 1:03 times so hopefully that will keep me in the hunt. Now to set up some immovable objects to help thin the heard.

Yep. I figured out that I need to follow Roger around.

By the way Keith, my 10 year old picked your car as his. It looks cool according to him. He then ran 1:06 never having run LRP. Give him a bit more time and I will just have him drive the car for me.

But if I have to go off with you then where is my incentive to punt you on the last lap?

The way I keep picking up .015 - .03 every three to four days, you guys better watch out because by next year, I will be able to turn a 1:02.5 and then I will only be 0.2 off a good time.

By the way, why can't I like my own posts? I mean... someone should.

Next track... rFactor's Jacksonville Superspeedway. I have a secret about the breaking point for turn one that I am not sharing with anyone.

Walking turning sharply right after 5 hours of testing at LRP,
    Eric

I don't think the hotlaps page has enough place holders for 100000 laps! :-) I'd say you're definitely in the hunt as long as you're in the 02s.

I can't turn consistent 1:02s so I am out of the running probably. The full growing dead spot in the middle of my steering wheel helping.

100,000 laps. Pffffffft. I will have that by the end of tomorrow. It is Thanksgiving. What else am I going to do? Watch football? Heck no. I am going to celebrate the way our forefathers did. Driving an SRF around Lime Rock.

    Roger,

The growing dead spot is just getting you ready for drag racing.

I will be taking the lead then spinning and dropping to the back then i will make my way back to the front but before making it all the way I will spin again.

    Rinse and Repeat.

Baring anything unforeseen, I will be there. I have been working on consistency so that if Roger is successful in his charge, spin, repeat, I hopefully will see him in my mirrors and wonder why he is taking a line that involves a lot of green ground at turn one. If I am lucky, I will not see him catch up more than.... how many laps did you say we are running???? Oh yeah, more than 48 times.

Looks like it was the unforeseen. I had a good qualifier, reasonable warmup, put the final setup on the car, 30 seconds to start and.... disconnected from the server.

Sorry gentlemen. Looks like it would have been fun. Watching on live timing now.

Eric, the server said there was some kind of conflict you had. Do you have the skin pack installed? You didn't make Barber so this would have been the first test for you.

I did download the skin pack and installed it. My skin is in there and I was running it. I only saw one conflict with Chris as he showed up as a generic car. All else was fine. Everything seemed to run just fine until the sudden disconnection. Could have been a wireless router problem on my end. Oh well.

When I ran at Daytona (poorly), I ran the best race I have run in the FF that following weekend (3rd overall and 2nd in class 5.8 sec out of the lead and 0.8 out of second on Sunday). I am racing the FF this weekend too. Lets hope it is a trend and the DNS tonight will pick me up another spot or two this weekend.

Hopefully Sebring will be better. First question on Sebring, any way to eliminate the stupid simulated bumps. I think the wobbling view will give me a headache after a few laps.

The server showed a mismatch and then booted you. I don't remember which car Chris used. I wonder if there was a conflict with the pit stall. I'll check to see if that was it. Chris, you may need to use one of the Marklein Motorsports, Team Spork, or Santucci cars for the next race.

I will download and install the skins again to make sure there were not any problems. I think my file showed pit #5. Not too big a deal. Would have been fun to race but not the end of the world either. Plus, after watching you run 29 consecutive laps in the 1:02 range, I would have been battling for second at the very best. Nice run for you.

Eric, fwiw on my end it said collision mismatch.

    Roger, very nice qualifying lap.

Keith, heck of a race, you were putting lap after lap of 1:02's.

    Jacques, time for a wheel.

Good fun, I'll try and be a little more prepared at Sebring.
