So far I hate this track in the SRF!!!

Probably real fun in real life though.

Thanks! I will probably run a bit slower for the race since a lot of time is made up threading the needle between those tire barrels at the downhill hairpin.

Note to self... review all the times before being too disappointed. I was struggling with setups and lines. Desperately seeking that full second that I was missing. Never figuring it out, I gave up late last night only to review the hot laps and find out that my 1:44.25 put me second. I thought I really needed to be in the mid 43 to have a reasonable shot.

While I cannot consistently turn .25, I am pretty consistent at .4. Hopefully that will keep me in the hunt for the race. Of course when Keith uses the green shell to destroy the tire barriers at the downhill chicane/hairpin (who creates a combo like that on a race track anyhow?), I will just have to watch him motor off into the sunset.

    Let the racing begin.

I am not really seeing that many passing zones on this track as well. It will be a tough one when I do my false start then drop to the back of the pack routine.

Nice, Eric! Hopefully we get some turnout for the first race to make it fun. I should have a skin pack ready for download tonight if I can get people to let me know what skin they plan on using if it's in the mod or custom so I can get the numbers straight.

Hey Markleins!! Are any of you going to be running with us?

You're very correct. There's turn 5 and that's about it... unless you consider 12 if you happen to get a better exit than someone else coming out of 9 and can get the pass done before the chicane.

    TONIGHT at Barber Motorsports Park!

    Be there!

    Dodge the ominous spider statues!

Attempt to funnel single-file through turn one!

    Pass the keyboarded one!

Did we decide on pit lane speed limiters or no?

Never had them... why start now! We did have some discussion in past leagues whether to auto pilot the cars while in the pit lane or not, but for the most part since we don't need to worry about hurting people in the pit lane, there isn't a limit.

That race report is missing much information. I made contact with immovable objects more than twice. Funny thing is it turned in better after the 2nd to last contact.

If anybody is thinking about joining in, this is a great group of guys to race with. They're racers that respect each other. If your worried about keeping up with Keith and think you can't be competitive don't, I've got a good grip on the back of the pack, so you won't be last.

There's a good range of speed for everyone to race with. Jacques and Roger appeared to have a good scrap for most of the race with the pass happening during the pit stops. If you're even the slightest bit interested, please come out and race with us. It doesn't matter if you run one race or the rest of them scheduled. We're not racing for any serious points race and it doesn't pay out anything either! Just looking for something to pass the time through the Winter....

I think I'm going to try Jacques' idea of posting our league over on the SRF forum to see if there's any interest over there as well...

I'm also open to changing the race times if it would suit more drivers.

Woo Hoo! I am in fifth and I never even finished the first round. Technically I never started the first round.

Sorry I was a no show but I was hauling equipment so that a middle school band could perform at California Adventure Land. It was a nice day off for me but too bad it conflicted with the race. And man, it looks like I missed out on hitting immovable objects.

Hope to see everyone at Lime Rock provided no other conflict arise.

I think Jacques and I passed each other 3 or so times each. I spun on my pit in lap but was already behind him and never managed to catch back up. Got close with about 5 laps to go but spun again and again and again.

I did a half spin in T4 with about 5 to go...I ran the race I thought my setup was capable of, and my T1 segments were outstanding all things considered.

Sorry again for my first lap cut of the chicane- I let Roger go by, as he was behind me and I felt that was a good self-penalty, as I felt hitting Keith would have yielding a bit more of an issue!

Joe, we'll get you trimmed out yet!

    Default I must have misunderstood

I thought qualifying was last night, and the race was TONIGHT.

So, someone tell me what the plans are going forward?
