    Default Citation Short Side Pods

Looking for a set of older Citation, lower short side pods. Front and rear or one piece

Paint, color and condition are not a problem.

    Kevlar lined a plus.

    Thanks

The earlier/standard Citation had short pods that ended just behind the front wheel. All the later cars and Brewer bodied cars had longer pods that ran almost back to where the trailing arm pickup point was. Much more common to see the larger sidepods than the smaller, probably why he's specifying the shorter/smaller ones.

Nothing fancy - the side pods I have are really heavy. If I can't shed some weight before next year, then the car will have to.

Thanks for the explanation - at work they don't let us access personal e-mails or non-work related sites. I am looking for pictures that show the difference.

One more thing to think about. The car is a lot harder to exit without the pods to push against. lol!

Agreed, I don't think I could get out of mine without the long side pods! John

The short side pods were the original design I did in 1984.

We had the car in the wind tunnel with those side pods and it was not a good. The side pods generated a significant down force while the rear of the car was actually experiencing significant lift. As a result we changed the side pods and the engine air scoops.

The long side pods addressed the issues we found with the original design.

I would suggest that people use the long side pods.
