Just so everyone understands, I do work part time for K-Hill.

I have seen the car that is referenced in the post above. I believe that this was Kris' own race car. It is in excellent condition and from all outward appearances should be race ready. But I also know that this car has not been raced in quite some time and there may need to be some things inspected or replaced before it would be considered to be race ready.

Having bought several cars that had been sitting for some considerable period I can tell you for sure that things like oil and fuel lines tend to get brittle when they sit around. Master cylinders tend to get gummed up and the pistons hang up. Seals in slave cylinders and brake calipers also tend to deteriorate when not regularly exercised.

I know for a fact that Kris has had several inquiries on the car and I believe that he has told each prospective buyer that the car is not race ready. So if Kris is saying that the car is not race ready, it is only because he is being honest and trying to prevent someone from being either disappointed or something worse. I think there a lot of us who have purchased "race ready" cars and have found them to be otherwise in some respect.

    Just my opinion,

    Joe Marcinski

Understood. Just to clarify, I do not have any affiliation with K-Hill. I just knew of the car because Kris offered it to me as an alternative when I called looking for a Swift.

    Good luck with your search.

Don't know if you have found a car yet, but this one just popped up on CraigsList in the Chicago area... http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/cto/5132318012.html
