Im looking for a GOTTI outer rear rim half for my Tiga SC84. Anybody know where to get?
Saw this post and thought someone had finally replied to mine from last year....alas, not.
Tell you what I did ( Tiga SC85, S2):
1. Found one guy with a full set of rims (old stuff) and a few used parts, in US. Couldn't get a deal done.
2. Tried to contact Gotti directly in France...no reply to emails, even though they did show up on a Goggle search.
3. Looked for other suppliers in US/Canada, but no luck matching to Gotti dimensions. New wheels were easier solution on this side of Atlantic.
4. Finally contacted the current folks that run Tiga in UK. James Thomas was the contact I got. After a lot of back and forth, he was able to get me a new rear outer for my SC85, from Gotti. Bought one outer, a new rubber gasket, and some misc. Tiga badges... ran just short of $500 UDS, delivered via DHL to me in Florida. I don't do paypal, and they didn't do VISA, so payment took a bit more effort...wound up having to make bank transfer that was at higher exchange rate and cost me a $35 service @ bank.
Got into a bunch of confusion about what rim offset to use. I measured mine between 2 1/4" and 2 3/8" ..... Gotti parts list (on web site) showed a 2 and 2.5, nothing between... went with the greater size without "mental comfort". Once in hand, 2.5" seemed to be the right one.
Goggle Tiga and get site/contact info. If that doesn't work, pm me and I'll get back to you.
Note: Original rim is spun or formed from sheet alum. Mine was cracked thru the bolt holes where centers go... new one appears to be made for a solid/billet piece...thicker thru flange, no rolled bead. A bit heavier, but definitely beafier...
I used KECO, in Indy, to clean and retreat the mag centers... a thin coating for Mag, not paint They have good reputation (used by Indy cars in past), however, a min. charge of 300 bucks...
Oh yeah, had a bear of a time trying to use the Gotti gaskets, both old ones and new... Old ones swelled when cleaned, got too big. New one was very tight to get/keep in groove on spacer. Both kept popping off spacer when torqued. Finally have followed what other wheel folks have done, left out the plastic spacer and gasket, put together dry, then ran bead of RTV in groove. Not sure if right, but plastic spacers were old, and doubt they ever were as tight as doing without. Got around that squirmy rubber gasket, too.
Give Tiga a try...worked for me. Drop a pm, if you want to chat about other stuff on reworking mine...nuts, bolts, and such...
Good hunting

Fellow Apex guy in the Seattle area bought 2 NOS rims from us a few years ago.
I'll let him know you're looking.
