Matt, Richard Antinucci finished 4th in this years British F3 Championship season points, scored 4 podiums (2nd twice) and unless I missed it, gets Zero coverage over here in the States.

P.S. It will be interesting watching the Rosberg, Piquet and Lauda kids progress in the next couple of years, does Alain Prost have a kid?

Last year the talk was Karthikeyan could be the first Indian in F1... This year he's 17th on the grid... Amazing what a year can do...

I think Antinucci was actually Italian at the start of the year. He is Eddie Cheevers nephew or something... I have to think its a political move to "make" him an American in the hopes of getting an F1 ride.

The race should be on Motorsport Mundial in a month or two (Is that on Speed anymore??)

I think all of Prosts kids were sold to keep the F1 team going a few years ago....

    Second place for Nicolas Lapierre

Australian driver James Courtney, who is the Japanese F3 champion, won the first round of the F3 race at Macau, which will give him the opportunity to start from pole position in the second race.

Frenchman Nicolas Lapierre finished in second position, followed by Richard Antinucci and Fabio Carbone.

Ryan Briscoe had the best start but he was passed early on by Carbone and Lapierre after making a mistake at the Lisboa corner.

The race was interrupted a few minutes later because of an accident involving Pierre Kaffer, Paolo Montin, Danny Watts, Nico Rosberg and Alvaro Parente.

Lapierre and Courtney took the advantage over Carbone at the second start, while Courtney was able to pass Lapierre on lap 6 (on a total of 10 laps) to win the first race, around 4 seconds in front of Lapierre.

Glad to see Jams [Courtney] win in race one. I met him at the ford festival when he raced FF in UK and again the following year when he was in F3. He impressed me with outright speed and was a great kid. Typical of the other Aussie drivers, he also knew how to have fun the pub. We had few fun nights at the Kentagon at Brands

    Cheers,

    Al.
