    Default PittRace Weekend Thread

A 1.2 mile course from last year is now 2.8 miles and looks pretty awesome.

Mid-Ohio was certainly competitive, what will this weekend bring?

Default Drove it - Historics at PittRace

I drove the new 2.8 a couple of weeks ago at the inaugural event (VRG's Historics at PittRace). You all are in for a REAL treat! The course is awesome, only thing that wasn't down was curbing.

    Enjoy, be safe!

My understanding is they are waiting a bit with the curbing to see where it needs to be put down (based on a few weekends of racing) as opposed to taking a guess.

I know some other recently-built tracks that have put curbing down prior to their first "real" weekends and it has been a bit off in terms of location.

This track is certainly cool - the new section has LOTS of elevation change. A little dusty, but that will work itself out in time.

It seems just as bumpy as it was last year down the back straight. Not sure if it is any worse.
