Default Which VD model is this?

So I was able to pick up a VD at a great price and in top notch shape - new tires, runs strong, etc...

My questions for you guys as I start looking for parts, upgrades, etc, is what model do i have???

    the VD plate states:
    Serial 2136
    model FRS 95

Would I be correct in guessing that it is a 95?

thanks in advance and apologies if this was stupid.

I have attached a picture as well in case that helps determine.

thanks provamo! I had it on the track last week end and I could not be happier. I don't plan on competing - just pure personal pleasure on track days.

I do know that at some point i am going to have to replace something or fix it and even want to upgrade. I dont want to make the mistake of buying the wrong parts 10x over.

The engine is a 2L neon champ car light if that helps anyone as well. Renault gear box.

Call David Clubine at Britain West. 519 756 1610. He's had a couple of those, and can supply about any part. Those cars were imported and had the engines installed for a spec series in Ontario that really never got off the ground maybe 15 years ago.

FRS stands for Formula Renault Sport. 1995 was the first year of the 2ltr Formula Renault in the UK and Europe. As with many VD cars they were used in other parts of the world with a variety of engines.

I have a very faint memory that cars w/ a plate like that ran a series in S America, perhaps Brazil.
