From what I can see, the 1,100 cc version was known as the Valencia and I seriously doubt if you will find any laying around in the USA. They were used in the Fiesta and Escort models.

If you find one here it's gonna be a junk yard or barn find.

What you will find talked about here is the 1,600 cc Kent engine used in formula ford race cars throughout the world (until recently)

Considering your avatar and location, I'm guessing you know all this. So, what do you want a 1,100 cc block for?? The curious need to know these things.

    Rick,

The 1965 Cooper that I have was orginially a Formula 2 car (1100cc Kent). At some point during its life a Formula 3 Cosworth MAE was put in.

Im not sure if the F2 engine was a MK 17 or an SCA...or even if Cooper sold it with an engine. Regardless, the MK17 is a much cheaper engine to build and maintain than an SCA.

I have managed to find a very nice MK17 head, a Cosworth front mount oil pump and have sourced a NOS 30deg oil pan. I agree with you...I figure eventually have to get the block from overseas.

    Cheers,

    Default 1100cc Kent

    Leo,
I have an old 711 Kent "short" block that I'm not using. In the mid 80's it was used in an Ensign CSR as a 1300cc BDH. If my memory still serves me, both the 1300cc BDH and the 1100cc BDJ used the same "short" block, just over 7" tall crank center to deck. I have other pieces if you're interested. PM sent with contact info.
    Cheers,
    Tommy

    Default Call Tony

May I suggest contacting Tony Ingram.

He is a specialist on the pushrod motors and may have a block available.

    Leo,
I've been slowly assembling parts for a Mallock MK4 restoration.
Currently I have a complete 1500 crossflow to rebuild but the MK4 was also used as an F3 and I'd like to find a 1000cc Kent. Any leads? Or would you be interested in parting with yours?

If you have cosworth mae (1000cc) F3 parts I would be interested in purchasing. Specifically looking for crank and flywheel but intrested in knowing what you may have available. Currently working on a Titan F3 project. Todd

    Hey Todd,

I really dont have any MAE parts. What I do have is AE parts...LOL.

I have 2 spare engines. Bone stock right out of the car.

If you would like any un-modified parts I should be able to hook you up.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the reply but I have most of the stock parts I need. Really looking for billet crank, A8 billet cam etc. Good luck with your F2 project. Great to see more of the early F2/ F3 cars being done in the States. Hopefully someday soon we will actually have enough to have some decent run groups. Todd
