    Default Conversion question.

I am looking at a late 1980's Zink chassis with the intent of converting it to F600. Can it be converted to a 600 car? If so is it worth it or should I look for a newer chassis?

I race F500, so I can give you some specific chassis feedback.

    1. If the car's roll hoop has not been updated, it is not legal for road racing.
    2. Even if the roll hoop is updated, it will not be competitive in road racing against strong regional cars or any national level cars.

I'll let someone who knows more about F600 conversions give specific answers to whether the engine will fit, etc, but my recommendation would be that it's a waste of money to convert a chassis this old, unless you just plan to autocross, don't want to autocross an F500, and can do all the fabrication yourself.

If you look for a while, you will be able to find an old KBS/Invader and then be able to tap the collective knowledge of people who have already converted that type of chassis.

Do not convert this chassis. It will not be worth the effort and the $$.
