Howie Fairbanks passed away last Tuesday. Long time driver, and Cen-Div Stewart. He drove many of the cool cars I grew up watching a McLaren, Brabham and a Surtees to name a few. Racing into his late 70's in a production car. Anyone who has pictures of his old cars feel free to post them.

PS A wake (a libatious one) is being planned in Minneapolis, to give him a proper send off. Details to follow.

This is how his old Surtees (red #15) looks now, driven by Mark Harmer.
I remembered his name as a driver in one of his FA (F-5000) cars, when I started in the early 1970's

Sorry to hear this. I remember watching Howie at Donnybrooke (now BIR) back in the day, and was very happy to see he was driving again a few years ago. My sympathy to his family and friends.
