I need a hubbed 2nd gear for my Mk5 Hewland project, ratio between 1.8 and 2.0.

Sorry I can't help you with the hub. But if you need a 25:27 gearset for your project, I have one.

According to my inventory list I have a 14-27 that is excellent and a 14-26 that is 80%. If either of those would work, I can go look to see if reality matches what's on my computer...

Edit: I have a 14-27 Mk5 second gear that looks essentially new with one caveat - it came from a guy who ran a BD engined CSR with a sequential shift five speed MK 5. He was all about the speed of shifting and engagement, so it has half of the dogs ground off. It has four dogs in perfect condition. I think the 14-26 was a casualty of engaging first before the 'box was quite done with second... PM me if interested.
