Man, Adam - The F1000 scene is really taking off for you boys!
Goodonya!

Hi Glen,
Yes the Australia scene is advancing quickly for 2015.
We run our inaugural championship this year starting with 3 cars and ending up with 7 cars by the last 2 race meetings.
The success is down to a few factors, Adam and Leanne Tander (professional driver) came over to Perth to support the local guys (equivalent of coming from New York to LA to race). We also have a local race school called Fast Lane (Brett Lupton ex F1) that provided support and Converting some of their FF guys.
The biggest advance is a local developer that drove the Fast lane car and got hooked on the category. He has authorised Adam (Australian distributor) to find appropriate cars. To date we have 6 Stohrs on their way to Perth so we should start the 2015 season with 12-15 cars. We only have a small 2.4Km track so with this many cars the sound will be magnificent.
I believe a successful 2015 season will give other regions (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane) the motivation to start up other championships. We also have a local Perth guy looking to build 5 cars. So while it has taken 4 years of painstaking work to make this "an overnight success" it looks to be on its way. We have also had great support and advice from the USA and UK that has allowed to progress so quickly.

AUS FOR President
Good on ya'll (I Southernized that, hope ya don't mind!)
Especially that last part - THAT is our gift to our Southern Hemisphere FBros:
Learn from our trials, tribulations, failures, explosions, fires, horrendous ideas, R&D, and experiences, which have ALL been documented right here on these virtual pages!
Regards, Coop
I don't get it. Are you Aussie's only looking for Stohrs? There are a ton of other awesome chassis to consider....
"If you're not driving on the edge you're taking up too much space.... "
JP, I believe that Adam is the Stohr distributor for AU.
It is also a chassis they can make easy mods to and make it FIA approved.
That's right Coop it's really happening on our West Coast. The guys over there have done
a great job with the rules and controlled tires.
So far the Stohr has been the car to have for Speed and reliability. Our tracks are very different
to the tracks in the US we are chasing more mechanical grip and downforce as our tracks are
Tight and twisty with shorter straights compared to the US tracks. We also have a controlled
radial slick which is much different to the bubble gum hoosier.
We are the Stohr distributor in Australia that's why I am personally looking for Stohr cars
but there is a market for all models here it's just that some are more suited to our regulations than others.
