Default Never So Happy to race in SCCA Events

We had the opportunity this week to crew for a Pro Late Model oval track team. We spent 4 days at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola Florida. It's was awesome to rub elbows with guys like Jeff Burton, Sterling Marlin, Bill Elliott. I'm not much of a stock car guy but one of the drivers is a young man that rents an FST from us to keep his road racing stills strong also. After 4 days of pushing the car back and forth to tech to make tons of insanely minor body changes, spending 7 hours impounded from the mandatory final tech before we could qualify, not being allowed to leave the infield paddock area till 4:30 am Sunday morning for a Saturday evening race, traveling 1 1/2 miles back and forth from the car paddock spot to our vehicles, I had just about reached my total frustration point and it wasn't even my car. I could not believe how rude the race organizers were and the head of Tech even relished in the fact he was personally selling T Shirt that proclaimed you survived his " Room of Doom". Thanks goes out to SCCA. We may all have our disagreements from time to time but I greatly appreciate your organization after this weekend.

Good points. As much as I've complained about the rule-making process in SCCA, every single day I spent with New England Region has been the most fun I've ever had, and I hope Southeast Division is just as good... since I start work in VA this week and will be transitioning there permanently. It's always the people that really count. But now I need to figure out what car to run next for 2015.

Bill, sorry you had such a rough time in Pensacola. BUT, glad you see SCCA as a good and friendly organization (club).

Rob, sorry to see you leave the area. Hope you get to run Palmer and Thompson some before heading south.

    Anthony.

Stakes are a little higher in types of racing that people care about aren't they?
