Wondering if anyone has been to Spa, seen the track, driven the track. Planning a trip for next spring and looking for some info or tips. If anyone needs info for the Nurburgring - Nordschleife, Troy and I drove it last December. Go out of your way to make it if you get the chance.

I have been there!!.... Its the most amazing track on the F1 calander....
I have a few tips!!
Don't camp!! Unless you have the use of an SUV from the airport - you can't bring enough equipment and clothes to keep warm in the forest this time of year. (especially being prepared for rain) - I've camped on Mt Washington in late late fall - and that was warmer.....You can find places to stay 1 hour away (with nightlife!)

Eau Rouge is first come first serve seating (get there early)!! - Its an expensive ticket, $380 (weekend) in '93 - But its one of the few places left on earth that has "real" history (thank god they didn't keep that stupid chicane). The stand is also Cement!! bring something to sit on!

The other "big" places Bus stop, Kemmel, Pouhon are General admin - but they all fill up early - you need to be at the track by 7am and moving to where you want to watch the start from - I was at Pouhon a couple years ago in the rain when the Schu drove into the back of DC - You sit on a hillside - bring a shovel to build a terrace - otherwise you end up sliding down the hill.....

The whole track should be walked.... Spend Friday and Saturday walking around seeing all corners - Then sit for Sunday and maybe go see 1-2 corners - but there will be 3x as many people.

Thats all that comes to mind right now..... If I go again - I will sit as close to La Source as I can get (No, not those crazy $10k tickets!)
Knowing German helps - especially if you need to ask for matches to light a fire at 3 in the morning before you die of exposure!! Oh thats the other thing... You won't get any sleep camping near Germans - they yell/sing/drink/ do King Ludwig type things - ALL NIGHT LONG

Is the track open to drive? I think some of the track is still on public roads. I looked at the Spa website but could not find any info. I won't be going to the race, but might be in the area and would like to see or drive the track.
