Default Caterham will race in Abu Dhabi

The AP has reported that Caterham was able to raise $2.92 million through crowd funding. The fans and supporters have donated enough cash for them to compete in the final race and possibly earn some constructor's points which could earn them a few million dollars.

The Swedish driver, Marcus Ericsson, quit the team on Wed just prior to the announcement that their fund raising was doing better than expected.

Excellent. After all, all the teams are 'crowd funded'. Think how many cans of Red Bull it takes to fund their team. Indeed, a big 'crowd' !

That's been known for a while now. However Marussia is already in receivership so don't expect them to suddenly show up. But, you'd think Putin would fund the team just for advertising the Russian GP next year.Maybe the Russian Army can take over the team sorta like their Hockey Teams
