I was impressed that Rosberg was able to hold off Hamilton since Lewis had the DRS advantage for so much of the last part of the race. To me, that meant Rosberg (and/or his car) was much better and deserved the win. Happy for Massa, too. Seems like it was a few years ago when many thought he was pretty much done in F1. Same for Williams.

It's starting to get interesting re: driver lineups for next year.

I thought that since Hamilton was able to keep up while in Rosberg's aero wake, Lewis was potentially faster had he been in front. If Lewis hadn't slid off earlier, he might have been ahead after the pit stops and may have dominated.

In either case, it sure makes for an interesting final.

I agree with Dave here...just look at the time difference Lewis was able to make up on Nico after he went off. Seven seconds he made up & kept his tires in decent shape as he was able to change right after Nico did.

The track was very difficult for similar speed cars to pass, just look at Fernando & Kimi where he was held off for multiple laps even though Kimi was on much, much older tires. Fernando had DRS as well & still had a very hard time making the move stick.

In the end Nico did what he needed to do to win the race.

IMHO, Nico was going just fast enough to maintain the margin he needed at the pit stop, and not a 10th faster so as to preserve the tires. That was a masterful drive by Nico. I think he lost the mental edge after Spa, but has regained it now.

I agree. Nico was on cruise control after the pit stops as noted when he told his crew NOT to advise him of the gap any more. He was not worried about Lewis catching up, he had enough saved to protect the lead.
