When I attended this event a few years ago there were only a handful of FV'S , mostly local guys.
What brought out the revival of interest in this event? Just wondering if anything can be applied to the dismal regional participation in FV at most Cendiv and Great Lakes regionals.

The FV challenge series as well as a strong northeast group. Up to 22 FV's now!

I completely agree with B Farnham. The organization of the Challenge Cup Series and the promotion of the class throughout the Northeast are big reasons why FV fields may be rising.

I'd also like to add, that the location of the runoffs may have helped as well. By my estimation, 4-5 solid runoffs participants have entered for this event. In years past these registered drivers would typically be preparing for runoffs vs. The Fun One.
