I have searched the frame and can find no id number or markings of any kind. The frame does have layers of paint on it so it might just might be covered up somewhere!

After looking at your Vee, it almost looks like a McNamera but I can't get a good look at the nose.

Any logbooks or other info. available?

I don't think it's a MacNamara but they were built using metric size rod ends. That would be a good clue.

Default Save it from the salvage yard

Seriously this thing is in my way! It has to go, if I don't sell it by the end of July it will go to the scrap yard! I have attempted to find the log book with no luck, it does have a SCCA number on the roll bar hoop and have identified the original owner but haven't been able to track him down either. It is a very early SCCA number being 29-025 so I am sure this was built prior to the numbering of cars. Make me an offer

    Default unknown vee

Maybe its easier to identify what its not...Looks too nice of bodywork to be a home built. Does it have a Z bar? Where is SCCA region 29? What was the vee that had a nose like a late 60's FF with radiator opening but no hole for vee reasons? Viking?
    Come on Vee guys...

the price is right for somebody to have a go with this.....should PROBABLY be listed under the autocrosser section

positive this car was produced before 1969, pro body work (if not design) the front and rear nerfing bars make me think those are add-ons by a roundy-round racer

hellava start for soembody with NO MONEY................i think

Guys take a look at how the tranny is mounted and how the beam is attached and how the nose fits... Poorly.. Could it have been something else then converted to a Vee?

    Default Home built

YES! My guess is home built, the nose is hanging off because I just slipped it on for pictures it is easier to store without the nose cone on since that makes a little shorter....I have a name for the original owner, he has a long kart racing history,. SCCA region 29 is central Ohio, the officers of the region even knew the owner by name and told me where he was probably living, I have search the internet extensively but can't come up with a phone number for the guy so short of putting it on a trailer and driving to that particular small town (I know where he lives) people would probably know him I have given up trying to track him down.

    Default Region

Region 29 is the Ohio valley region.
If you talk to the chief of tech there he might have a history on the car.
The 025 might be the 25th car they log booked.

I have spoken with them, the only thing they could tell me was that it was a formula vee, no brand/maker indicated. They did tell me the original owners name and they actually knew him from when he was active racing which led me to the town he lives in. I did some internet searching and found out where he lives but can't come up with a phone number, like I said short of loading it on a trailer and taking a road trip I have no way of getting ahold of him, but you know how that goes every time I plan on heading that way something comes up. When I searched his name I found out he was very active as a kart racing and actually won a few "big" races in the late 90's early 2000s.

    Default HAS to go!

OK last chance! This bad boy has to go....next Monday it goes to the shredder....BTW there a few misc parts with it, like exhaust, some spare wheels, and few other random parts. It seems a shame to me that it is going to become a prius after they crush it! $500 takes it

MAN!! I sure hate to think of that front beam assembly and the wheels going to the shredder. The price is HIGH for just those items, but .... I'm just TOO FAR away to go there (12 hours each way). Surely SOMEONE close by can 'deal' and pick them up?

    Default Wine-O-Wedge

    Butch,

No,its not the Wino-O-Wedge that my Dad built. He built only the one and I have followed it with its owners over the years.
My Dad also constructed two other cars called "Ravens" . He built them around 1974 and 75 and modeled those from a Lola T400 F5000 having an air intake over driver head going for engine cooling. They both went to same guy in Northern Central Div...but lost track of them...

Saw this car on Sunday - it is as represented - a mystery. But- I might have found the previous owners / builders phone number, so stand by for what ever info I can glean.

Looks like it will be about $450-1000 for a one way trailer. I'm at Disney until the 7th, will check craigslist to purchase one until then.

Mark Farnham has a nice 7x16 enclosed trailer for sale not far from the FV; perhaps he would meet you there. Look in the Trailer and Towing section(in General Classifieds) or call him at 330-416-0518. The trailer is in excellent shape.

Actually looked at that when I was there - I believe it's sitting on an 8' trailer now? Could be wrong.

Yep, it's on its way to Ontario. I'll see what I bought when I get home and how much it will need to race again. I want to race normal vee class as well as plan an electric open wheel car using the same mount positions. Even if I can't get it race ready I have a frame I will put to good use. Thanks Richard!
