Default Tire rule and new majors format

The June Sprints was my first go with from what I understand is the universal majors schedule--a qual session, a "sprint" race, and a full-legnth race. I assume that under the tire rule we race with that means one set of tires will be used for this entire stretch of time. We had no real issues at RA, but does anyone have qualms that this may be pushing the quality life span of our tires? I'm asking and I have no real solution if it is not optimal in others' opinion. Or maybe I'm overthinking it, I dunno.

Hijacking thread to say congrats to Dale (who started this thread) on the Sprints win. Nice work!

Fewer checks to tire companies the better.... I used to buy 2 sets of tires per double national weekend and 1 set sounds good for a new format majors weekend. Tires can handle it safely in my opinion.

Thanks Steve, sometimes it pays to be the last man standing.

I don't disagree; the tires, regardless of your brand choice, will last that long safely. The "feature" race is not worth more in points or anything, otherwise I'd like to have tires that have not been through possibly 20 hard minutes in quals plus a race. For the Sprints I just stayed out long enough to post a time that was sure to be ahead of all the FFs. Classes that are a lot harder on their tires might have more problems than us.
