NJ says putting a person between the gas pump and my fuel pump is also a consumer protection concern. 49 other states don't seem to have that concern.

Sounds like adding layers of middlemen paying lobbyists to protect their piece of the pie.

Seems like Florida needs more middlemen and lobbyists

    $1.26 per Litre. 3.78 L to a US G = $4.76/G... before you factor in a 10% exchange rate. Diesel is higher.

Not sure what this has to do with the discussion, but hey-ho...

    Default Florida

I have spent enough time in Florida to know I don't care for it. But not to fear I will come and visit again next time a Hurricane rips across that bug infested swamp and we have to rebuild it again.

Last extended stay was in Perry, FL. What fun

Henry Ford raised the daily wage to $5 because he could not standardize his work load with the constant turnover he was experiencing. He could not afford the training he was having to do every day. His turnover of employees was over 100% per year. Read Henry's book and you will find the basis of the Toyota Production System.
Henry caved into the UAW because his wife did not want to fight any longer.
I do not know about other manufacturers but I do know GM worked very hard to shorten lead times to allow retail consumers to walk into a dealership, order the exact car they wanted and receive it within 4 weeks

I think they were premature on posting that article - it should have come on line April 1st.

The only thing on that list that made any sense was Key Lime pie. I will give them that one.

Living up on the "Forgotten Coast" is a whole different experience than South Florida. One of the things on the list was the natural springs. I live about eight miles from Wakulla Springs and next door to the Aplachicola National Forest. 200 to 300 million of gallons of water per day. Not a lot of folks. Very un-Florida, but with great weather from October 1 to April 1.

I posted to HuffPost thing just to stir things up.

You can call it what you want, but after spending a week each of 20 years at my ex's family reunion on Apalachicola Bay I've become familiar with it's real name - The Redneck Riviera.

As Jimmy Buffet says, "...My home Town..."
Nothing wrong with the RR - just a 5+ hour drive to any tracks, NOLA, Road Atlanta, Barber, Roebling Road, Sebring. Hmmm, maybe not so bad.
    Cheers - Jim
