Ray,
Thanks much for posting the link.
DC looks to have put together a very sweet looking ride.

I have watched this car being developed over a few years. Its going to be the new benchmark in many areas. It also looks incredible.
They had handling balance issues on the day of their first run with the F2K14, but they still managed to to do quick times that will be improved by several seconds on the 4km long circuit.
Jacer produced the first properly modern Formula Vee in Australia in the mid 90's, and this has certainly inspired many new manufacturers into our category. They have continued to enthusiastically support Formula Vee, having built over 60 chassis, and the F2K14, the fourth generation of Jacer, is so perfect to look at, I don't know how they can improve on it with their next generation.
By the way, that's DC pulling his balaclava off after the first run. Jason is lurking around in the background occasionally.

Looks super! Wish the exchange rate was better and I would sign up to be a distributor in the States. Just to let everyone know my 2005 Jacer will soon be going to a young racer in the Denver Colorado area!!!

The Australians know how to produce damn fine looking Formula Vees---and it looks like they know how to promote the car too.
For those interested, here is a link to the Jacer website where you'll find more details and videos:

Great looking car! Love the overhead shot, definitely makes it look very sleek and Ford like
What's the layout for the rear suspension?? Can see the pushrods and bellcranks but nothing else.
Beautiful car.
Bill
Its quite unique, with a single longitudinal mono shock, fixed at the front end, and mounted on a vertical swinging arm at the rear. Each bellcrank operates a forward moving pullrod that pulls on the vertical swinging arm via a transverse pivoting mechanism.
Only a picture could adequately tell the story of the rear suspension, so I will visit the Jacer workshop over the weekend and will beg them to allow me to take a picture of the rear suspension for you.

The Jacer guys have kindly allowed this picture to be published for the first time anywhere here on Apexspeed.
Its not quite the final detail suspension arrangement, but is very close.

Very nice looking car, if I'm not mistaken Mike Varacin's rear suspension is similar only it's under the transmission.
Yes, similar but different. The Speed Sport is pull rod, the Jacer is push rod.
Here is a shot of the car from the Jacer website

Looks like the F2K14 project is moving along quite well. DC has finished a second car for testing. Go to the Jacer website for more details and videos.

Here is a picture of the Jacer K2F14 in its race livery at its first race meeting.
It finished fourth (out of 32 cars) at the end of the round last weekend at the bumpy Wakefield Park, and it had a few teething issues which did affect its speed.
