Well that's pretty forked up
I've "played" on public roads, but never in traffic like that - El Stupido!
The best friend I ever had died from a lack of caution re: automobile vs. motorcycle. I most definitely do not approve.
This activity is exactly what race tracks are for.
Looked like a wonderful trip to me.
CREW for Jeff 89 Reynard or Flag & Comm.
Just another day on the roads of Puerto Rico.

Idiots do $hit like this and then at cocktail parties brag "I should be a race car driver, you should see me on the freeway."
~right~
Idiot. You don't to that on public roads and put everyone else at risk. Really, really stupid.
Thankfully, they didn't kill anyone. Typical narcissist jacka$$... I've lost too many friends to highway high jinks over the years. That's one reason we have Track Days to enjoy....

Is this typical driving in Brazil (CCR Autoban is visible on a toll booth on the other side of the highway)?
http://www.autoban.com.br/
At least the swarming bikers in NYC were going much slower (but still easily fatal) speeds.
Dick
Looked like the main highway in PR. Been to Brazil also and yes that's the way they drive everyday. Most the islands and south America is not big on obeying traffic laws.

One crazy son of a gun.
Hopefully he kills himself before he kills someone else.![]()
I miss the days when a 1 liter and better sport bike would roast pretty much anything else on the road. You didn't have to think about a car 1 foot from your back tire at these types of speeds.
It's a latin thing.. Portugal, Spain, Italy are all similar.
The main problem with doing this kind of thing is that you are guessing what the traffic will do. That is a worse bet than the weatherman predicting the weather - we all know how lousy their guesses are. And, if they screw up they don't pay for their mistakes with traffic deaths.

The last time I was in Italy, it sermed the primary rule on the road was 'never look in your mirrors'![]()

Absolute Stupidity....
Endangering so many, I lost count.
Tangent Alert
While I was going to Texas A&M, I realized that learning to ride a bicycle efficiently through 40,000 college kids is excellent training for dealing with racing traffic. In the process, I learned some of the OODA loop principles without knowing it.
Once I developed some skill at this bicycling challenge, it was easy to maneuver around pedestrians who ignored me. As long as enough of them were walking in a straight line at a constant speed, it was a simple matter to plan and execute a safe and efficient but very wiggly path through the crowd. That was a fun game to play between classes, and I got a lot of practice at it. Complications ensued when someone would try to step out of my way. They always, and I mean always, stepped into my current path instead of away from it. So, I learned to very quickly sense when someone was paying attention and about to try to step aside for me. In that case, I would fake a turn away from where I wanted to go, which would make the alert pedestrian step into my new path and away from my preferred path. A quick reversal made for an easy pass. I found that the same technique works really well on the race track.
While I'm on the highway, my standard operating assumptions are that I'm invisible and everyone else is totally oblivious. I'm very rarely wrong about either of those. It is a pleasant surprise to encounter another driver who is alert. It is easy to tell.
Startle reflex.... yell DUCK & see how many people raise up to look who's yelling DUCK !![]()

Maybe it's this.
