We have one week until the VARA season finale at Willow Springs happens. As of Friday, we have over 33 Formula Fords entered! This is AWESOME. Looks like a replay of our August weekend at California Speedway. We should have over 45+ FF's entered and on track next weekend!

This is our annual Big Bore Bash weekend, featuring the most significant gathering of vintage CAN-AM (over 26 entered, McLarens, Lola etc...), TRANS-AM, NASCAR, FORD/CHEVY CHALLENGE and the ignagural VARA tradition -- VINTAGE RACE OF CHAMPIONS - VROC.

Plenty of track time Saturday and Sunday. Special BBQ Saturday evening with many of the orginal drivers and creators of CAN-AM, TRANS-AM. Special PRO-TRANS-AM race on Saturday and Sunday featuring: Boris Said, Mike Davis, Tomy Drissi, Greg Pickett and others.

As part of our regular VARA race weekends, for $20 during noontime, take your street car on track and show your family and friends the circuit.

If you have a Vintage or Club Formula Ford and haven't entered yet, please do so. Contact the VARA offices at (800) 280-8272.

This will be great season finale leading into our 2004 season opener at California Speedway.

Hope to see you all at Willow Springs next weekend!

Yeah, it was .034 of a second - about the length of the Eagle nose. I got lucky that Tim spun in the first corner of the race, otherwise I may not have been able to catch him. On the last lap Tim made a great pass on me on the outside of turn 3, but I got a run on him exiting 9 and just got him at the line.

For the overall/vintage Ford victory, it was even closer. Chuck Pittenger beat Todd Strong by .001 of a second.
