    Default TPS/ idle setting

What is an easy way to set the TPS on my Swift 008 ? And what rpm should this engine(toyota) idle at ? It is currently about 2000 and seems high to me.

    Default Idle

2000 rpm is not a bad idle speed when warm. At this setting, you'll probably need to adjust for more throttle opening when cold to keep it running as I think there's no high idle bypass circuit. The cams are pretty aggressive and so a low idle speed is not a good idea in my opinion as wear could result if running too slow. Again I'll defer to any pro engine builder on this.

As far as the tps, I don't remember, it's been too long ago.

    Good luck,
    Randy

From memory (on the 4AG and Cossie) idle should be 2200-2400 when warming up. No less than 2200.

The learning curve on this car is very steep, so I appreciate the help. So far the car is a joy to drive but I am still going fairly slow. 2 sec per lap faster than I ever went in my FC , but I can tell there is a lot left. I set the TPS by ear and it worked better, but I will call a pro this afternoon. The idle was more stable and right aound 2000 though. Thanks, guys !

4.5 idle 89 full throttle. Blip your throttle to keep your plugs clean. Do not use high RPMs untill oil is hot.
