    Default FE wanted...

I am interested in purchasing a well maintained and reasonably priced FE.

If you have one or know of one please email me at zerlinc@gmail.com. Florida pick up location is preferred but if we can work a deal that includes transport and makes sense to both of us I'm happy to consider other locations. I keep hearing that there are a number of cars out there that owners want to sell - I only want one so let me hear from you!

    Thanks!

Ask Jeff for more pics. This car is as perfect as they come.

Thanks Jeff - I agree that FE looks really nice. If only it were a little closer to Florida...

(actually....if only it were a LOT closer to Florida!)

Chet, I think John Robinson has one in Orlando. I think Mick knows about it.

    Chet,
Did you give up on fixing your damage from last fall? (I may have missed a post or two while focused on my '64 vette for the hot rod power tour) ..

Hi Mike - yes unfortunately the level of frame deflection was too severe to make it cost effective to save 'ole #70 Frankly the car did exactly what it was designed to do and took all of the energy of the impacts on my behalf...in fact considering that I did (I'm told) three complete flips before landing upside down it is amazing how little damage there was to the car itself and absolutely no intrusion or bending of the driver's compartment. These cars are really well designed! I had two (rather painful) bruises to the top of my thighs but other than that no injuries at all (other than- obviously - to my wallet). Here's a tip - don't forget to put padding on the steering rack bulkhead that sits ABOVE your legs!!

So.. depending on the FE that I find I may have a LOT of excellent parts to sell here on ApexSpeed...(but don't count on any suspension parts - or bodywork.. )

Hi Burkey - Thanks for your suggestion. Mick did mention John and I've left two voice messages for him in the hopes that he might want to part with his FE but I haven't gotten a call back yet. Hopefully I'm calling the right number!

    Thanks everyone!

    Chet,
Sorry to hear that it was un-repairable, but still glad you came out of it ok and even better that you're looking to get into another one. Work continues to preclude me from getting mine into a race, although I did get to enjoy a couple track days at least. Now furlough has killed my budget for the year, so I just wax it ha ha.

I'm going to finally look into what happened with the left pod radiator that leaked at Sebring, so maybe after this weekend I'll post that onto my thread from a couple months ago.

    Hopefully catch you soon,
    Mike

Bruce Work has a car listed on here that is in Ohio. The car has been completely upgraded to all of the most recent parts including a new engine rebuild. The last I talked to him, he was asking an extremely reasonable price for the car. Shoot me a PM and i'll give you his phone number.

NP Chet. I should be within a 15 min drive from the car sometime next month. I wish I was able to look at it for myself!

    Chet:

So did you end up with the Bruce Work car just outside of Youngstown? Either way-good luck with it. I was going to take a look at it last year when I went back to visit family. I realized that I wasn't in a position to buy and did not want to waste his time.

Well......don't think I can quite make it to the track that quickly
I'm shooting to have everything ready for Homestead in September.
