    Cooper and Bagget had Fords...
The Spectrum/Honda that Cooper swept the SP major with is not ready for prime time, so he used his trusty VD/kent.

Less than 2 secs separation from 1-15 in qualifying for race 2. Awesome!

Check out the Q2 Results, want to talk about close competition...I couldn't believe how tight it was when I looked at it for the first time.

I really like the look of the cars with the wider sidepods, probably safer too. Not trying to open the wormcan about SCCA and the sidepods, just saying they look cool !

SCCA started allowing the wider sidepods sometime this year. It is in the very end of the GCR section for FF/FC.

    Maybe just a little

Aaron & I were trying to chase down Jake & it didn't make any sense to battle it out while he was still in sight. He was quick enough to keep us at bay.

    Mygale > Spectrum > Van Diemen > Piper > Swift ?

Come on, we all know that Crossle is clearly the fastest car on track! (Kidding of course)

I am not sure that there is much between the top 5 chassis manufacturers. I think it all comes down to the driver and the setup and I think any one of them can win on any given day...

It became effective with the May 2013 GCR update.

If you read the 2010 Euro rules or the current Euro rules for F1600CS, you will realize the wide sidepods were done for side impact safety. Not that anybody ever has a side impact.

Maybe a mandatory vertical push-bar on the rear of the rear attenuator? With a certain minimum horizontal frontal area on the noses?

I think there are at least 6 different chassis that could win at Lime Rock on May 24/25.

    Hey Mike
It was the first real weekend with the new Piper. Didn't really want to go knowing it wouldn't be pretty, but the quality track time of the Pro series was to hard to pass up. Also it was easy for Don to help us with the chassis. We made all sorts of set up changes and finally got the car working. But in the end we were down on power. We were off 6-8 mph on the back straight. Don't know why??? It's going to the chassis dyno on Wednesday to find an answer. If we find it we will be at the Mid Ohio Major in a couple weeks for more development.
    How's your ride???
    Wes

    Wes,
I caught a picture of Don "helping".
    His horns were showing.
