Gents;
I am at a loss for words regarding the enormous support on this project. I am singularly blessed in being surrounded by men of your character and knowledge. Humbling.
Next issue:
I've been visiting off line with THE resident expert on braking (and all the rest), and it was his position LD19s would most certainly not pack the gear.
The good news: LD20s with 0.375" x 10.0" rotors just might be the ticket in stopping this car in the intended configuration. The question that begs to be asked is: will LD20s with 0.375" x 10.0" rotors fit onto the frong uprights and gearbox?

If anybody is looking, I have a 2 liter Pinto with Mikuni carbs, straps on the cam saddles, and who knows what else. It's for sale if we can figure out what it is worth. Currently sitting at David Clubine's shop and available to be shipped out.
Lawrence, may I trouble you for close-up photos of the bars as well as the mounting brackets?

Gents;
Although I have not assessed the MCs consistent with the enclosed, my surmise is they are stock Lola T342 5/8" both front and rear.
As I am trying to get the brake issues sorted out, and upon advice from 'The Players', I am hoping LD20 F/R with 10" rotors will fit the car. Although not period correct, the ICP LD-20 compatible calipers may be an excellent choice.
The next issue is the period correct Lockheed can MCs. To stop this car with a full head of Steam, will 5/8" for the front bakes and the 3/4" for the rear do the trick, or is there a smarter combination?
Thoughts?

Gents;
Is a twin disk clutch needed? If so, does that have a bearing on the adapter thickness?
Regardless, I am going to use a 7.25" to save on disk replacements.

Rick the FSV calipers were NOT LDs. They were a steel ATE caliper. Not much bigger pad than LD 20, but the caliper is much more stout.
I have a set in need of re-build if you are interested, but you can buy new brazilian ones from buggy shops.
If anything, follow what Esslinger and Rick Kirch sez, Essi is the go too for doing that, they are I think boat guys and previous circle track guys, noticed someone measured the 2L into a light plane a few months ago, ain't light any more, do not do, I would say no cause u can get near horse with designed 2 sparker/per cyl (FAA like's that) for $4-5K ......... I wanted to explore the Essi for my FC, dual Homolllll, mild cam definately oversize valves (whether I get Erik to do or not QS, the guy in Fredericksburg-Clay or something- not BLC but top notch and does NHRA "the real bazookas although gernade is what they do!!!:....maybe myself-got a lathe to make cutters and grind them in), (pause ...... idea for making aerotube wishbones, grind stone cutters in the shape of the front and trailing edge of the aerotube, form the wishbone angles and on a mill-drill or drill press with left and right wheel control, grind the perfect mating cut, tig and voila!!!) back to topic ..... adapt carb to existing manifold for starters, even existing 36-32, aren't the venturis on that baby slip in, anybody out there running a 36-36 when supposed to be 36-32, ......lookin' at 175hp then jump to hotter cam ....... followers may be in order ....... above Rick I ...... when 5.5 doesn't handle it a step further is in order, by the way above Rick I, good spec and choice on that 7.25, although Craig T will tell u 5.5 is the way, .... , think 7.25 is 250 ft pds, (this is the land of plenty) where as the 5.5 is down at 150 or there abouts, info is plain and simple on Tilton's site ...... rainy day here, hope this was a good read folks ..... Anita telecommutin' so no crosstown DC run, favorites include "Jimmy" Crosstown Traffic, need I say more, oh, no smoke just music .... did the FBI waste Hendrix, Joplin, and Morrison in one year, the Pied Piper syndrome, leading our kids down the tubes?? The answer, they don't do that, hands full, period!!! More than a good read!! Your answer, "How do you know???" I said "No, good guys, they don't do that!!!!!"
Cheers,
