It was a real car before the back end was lost. I'd love to know what chassis it is.

It was a very old car. Notice the drum brakes (the drums are sitting on the trailer where tires normally would be).

Default Part of a Zink Z-10 or Z12?

Front rockers and lower A-arms appear to be Zink Z10/Z12. Front rotors are VW Type 3.

thats what I was thinking. probably went to the south with someone from Indy chasing sunshine and warm temperatures. Lots of Ziinks in cen-div - maybe a crashed chassis with the back cut off and the vw stuff grafted on.

Yea...what he said. I couldn't believe someone was asking $6000 for this "stuff"

I thought "wow...there must be something about this that I don't know about."

    Default Zink Z-11...not a Z-10 or Z-12

That looks like a bona fide Zink Z-11 to me. The only different between a Z-10 frame and a Z-11 frame is that there are no side diagonal braces in the engine bay of a Z-11. They were deleted to accept an air-cooled 1600cc VW with two downdraft carbs, instead of a Kent FF engine. (Per my original Z-10/11 sales brochure.) All the bodywork looks like original late air-cooled Zink SV stuff to me, too.

Steve Lathrop will know for sure.

For the Zink lovers, this, may indeed, be a real treasure of original parts or a possible restoration... the price reminds me of a Model A I tracked down in central Fl years ago. Expecting BIG $$$$ for totally disintegrated car with trees growing thru it this is in much better condition.
