Anything Official for SCCA at COTA in 2013?

I have seen some comments around but yet to see anything Official. Hopefully it will be a Double National... but heck I'll take anything to get on COTA!

    Moses? Darryl? Alan? ... anyone??

Officially it will be part of the new majors program and one of six SCCA BFGoodrich Super Tour events on the 2013 calendar.

As to if it is a double good question, I can get clarity from Topeka tomorrow.

    From SCCA.org :

All Majors Tour events on the schedule are doubleheaders, with the exception of the Chicago Region June Sprints, which will keep its traditional single race format.

Two corrections from what's on SCCA.com:

    1. The June Sprints will be a "National and a Half" - four of the eight run groups will get two races while the other four will get two races at the Cat Nationals. Which groups run when are still TBD.
    2. As noted on a different thread, the Road Atlanta Majors event will be March 15-17.

    Default June Sprints

Why would 4 of the 8 race groups get another race?I am not so sure the 4 race groups that don't get to run 2 races will be happy about that.

Hopefully the 4 groups is really the original 8 but all clustered up into 4, does that make sense, it follows suit with the Majors motto of clustering competition, but this is a new concept called NationalPlus+. Wishful thinking on my part, but all the wings and things classes could have a second race if we are all split in two groups with three- way split starts.
