That's a typo. Pro and club are both the same now, but it is 35.0.

You know I love the series but:

2011: 2 races at Watkins Glen
2012: 1 race at Watkins Glen
2013: 0 races at Watkins Glen

Best track in the series and 1600 gets shut out?

id be willing to bet it's because of the amount of young drivers in the series and ISC requiring emancipation.
Awww, come on guys, it's so simple. Maybe you need a refresher course. Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays.

glad we are kissing SCCA Pro's ass by backing Trans am at Lime Rock after all they have done for us. Wait hang on a sec, they havent done a damn thing except provide insurance, which the series paid sanction fees for. Hell before this past season we werent even on the series website as they were more interested in promoting their 9 car FE series then the 30 car+ F2000 series. Of course Andersen stole that so know we got web coverage and of course an increase in license fees to go along with it.

With 35-40 F2s consistently showing for the mid-Oct WGI rounds where is the incentive to change the date? A little disappointing the rumored undercard slot on the Grand-Am 6hr. weekend in late June didn't make the sked, or will it?... no Mosport with NASCAR trucks either. M-O 2x is a bonus though, good sked overall.

Forgot I was in the FF forum... sorry about no WGI for the wing-less, hopefully that will change before the schedule is finalized.

....older (definitely), better looking (?) arguably, but most importantly free of any past allegations of conduct unbecoming a series driver involving involving a port-a-potty and a young lady with questionable job description. i believe clinic results proving the allegation are to remained sealed for the next 5 years for reasons of national security.
......and i have a bad reputation?

To add to Monty's post: This schedule is very tentative...did I say tentative?

We are waiting on a couple of dates that might start a domino effect on some other dates. Also, the Aug 4 date is a typo- its supposed to be July 26-28 at MO. We didn't really want to announce anything yet because of these uncertainties.

We expect to firm it all up in the next couple of weeks. As we've told many people, the schedule is the hardest thing we do as a series and has become more difficult in the last couple of years for a number of reasons.

Dates which are reasonably firm are VIR, Road Atlanta, the October Watkins Glen date, Lime Rock. We will go to Mid Ohio, but not sure when. We will go to Summit Pt. Mosport is still a possibility if they ever figure out their overall schedule, which they haven't yet. Please bear with us a couple more weeks, and send Rand love and kisses with his new bionic knee (part of the reason this is late)

And, yes F1600 is not going to WGI because of the number of under 18's we expect next season.

Thanks, Frog, for the tentative schedule and, Bob, for the clarification. I sure wouldn't want to be arranging this!

First of all this comment is no reflection on the F1600/F2000 series.

The Watkins Glen organization should understand the level of talent in the under 18 crowd and for a series like the Pro F1600 have their lawyers write an under 18 waiver that mom & dad can sign to allow their "kid" to race at the Glen. I'm not implying that every driver under 18 should race there, but drivers who are competing regularly at a professional level should be waived in.

The over 18's should not be excluded just because there are young drivers in the series.
