For track-specific rules, it all depends on the track. Some have very elaborate requirements; others less so.

In terrms of organizing, staffing, and equipping a race, take a look at the SCCA General Competition Rules (GCR). Here is a link to the Club's rules page: http://www.scca.com/clubracing/content.cfm?cid=44472

See especially sections 3 and 5.

Start there, and feel free to come back with questions.

On edit: Keep in mind that the insurance and liability considerations in (?) Israel will very likely be quite different from the US. That can drive your track arrangements.

Also, if this is a one-off event, you may well not have the sort of infrastructure needed to support automated timing (i.e transponders in cars and recording equipment in T&S). You can score cars (i.e. finishing order) easily enough with less equipment.

While working on building a local track in Massachusetts, I found some of that info at the FIA website.

All of the details concerning track design, max cars on track for races and practice based upon class and track length are contained in the FIA "appendix's". I've read it dozens of times but couldn't find it today.

    thank's

It's not that easy navigating threw all the FIA files, if someone can give a general direction it will be great, thank you.

If we are on the FIA subject….

I am wondering, what is the correlation between the SCCA tech regulations and the FIA's?
If I were to enter an F1000 car for example under the FIA free formula, would it qualify?
There are a lot of similarities between the SCCA GCR and FIA regulations but at the same a lot of difference (rear impact structure, roll over structure tests….).
