Default Piper for sale FF or FC or etc

2006 DF5 Piper
Currently outfitted as FF2000 Zetec, as was run in Pacific F2000 series and was front runner there including pole and several podiums
Aprox 15 race weekends, including test Fridays and about ten test days exclusive of race weekends.
Always properly maintained including various upgrades as needed, some of which now appear on new Piper chassis.

(engine is sold, but car could be provided with one / as a runner)
Engine went to Elite for dyno and couple details at the beginning of 08 and was sent back with clean bill of health. Has seen about 6 weekends and as many test Fridays since.

Williams gearbox as of beginning of 2007.

Dynamics shocks, still in orig zetec trim (rear wing assembly is the only part not still on car), they were freshened by Dynamics, about 6 races ago...have to verify records

Three sets Piper design three piece Kodiak built wheels, currently 8 and 10 but can be re-sized.

Car was built to be a Zetec and thus has thicker radiators and has NEVER seen an overheating issue, even at Tooele, Ut when it was 105+ and the VDs were melting down (and still always killed the VDs on the straights)
This results in a minor increase in radiator opening and floor / diffuser width (again it never hurt for speed in straight line).
This and aprox 1" shorter frame (between hoop and engine) is the only diff from a FF currently out of Piper/Fast Fwd.

Equipped with CDS dash and data accq. including the completely removable steering wheel (ie no cable to dash) and GPS

Also avail is a later bellhousing built by Fast Forward / Piper to longer wheelbase with all shift linkage, input shaft and bodywork to do that conversion. This method of lengthening keeps the engine weight more centered.

Massive spares package avail that I have yet to properly inventory and value.
It is no exaggeration to say that I probably have enough to assemble a second car including front wings, noses, nose boxes, diffusers, ALL suspension w/bearings and adjusters, brackets, bell cranks, various sway bars, spare ICP calipers, rotors, starter, etc etc. Most of these spares are brand new.

Only reason for sale is that I have been running with PR1 who specializes in Van Diemen and the car has thus not been raced this year. I am torn to sell or keep car as the Pipers are fantastic in so many ways I would LOVE to keep running and seriously entertaining converting and developing this car as a FF. Unfortunately, I can only afford to run one black hole (race car) in my universe right now.

I have learned a TON about these and would be happy to help with further development for new owner.

Asking Price
$35K obo for running/ready car with wheels and basics or
$25K obo for roller with wheels and basics.

I am totally happy to sell the car in a lesser config such as roller or without shocks etc. Penske Triples are a possible option to buyer.

Price for spares package is around 15K and a better deal can be made as a package with car. (that number is determined via new parts at 75% or less than retail, used parts at 50% or less and many items free/included)

Some help with transportation / delivery is possible.

preferred contact is through my regular email at rarrace@aol.com
pm here is fine too

many requests for info on car include interest in spares, which i must embarrassingly admit i have yet to make a property and complete inventory of. in lieu for the time being i decided to post photos of much of the package.

Default Still available...

I traded eMail with Scott this week regarding the 06 Piper DF5. Decided not to pursue but, with Scott's permission, thought I would share details of the discussion:

~ Zetec Engine and Engine Wiring Harness sold.
~ Now have disassembled FF1600 Kent (purported by Knaap to be VERY GOOD)
~ Have acces to Zetec or Pinto if desired as FF2000
~ Three (3) set of 8"/10" Piper designed 3-piece Kodiak wheels which can be resized for FF.
~ 13:36 R&P
~ Dynamics dampers that can be revalved. Can be sold with Penske's or without dampers.
~ Avaiable spares package worth ~$15,000.

Given the success of the DF5, surprised this car is still available...

just a bump to remind that unbelievably this car still is for sale. ive had a lot of interest but the roller / "in between" status seems to be an issue. car is still in that state, but getting closer to conversion to the ff1600.
though i really want to run it as a ff1600 some practicality indicates sale as is / sooner than later is preferred and will most like result in a better deal for buyer.
