Based on what happened on Apexspeed back in September 25 of 2005, it only makes sense as the benefactor of that great outpouring of charity that I get the ball rolling for Brian Copperthite.
Those that know Brian are aware that neither he nor his family are wealthy. Now, after the accident they are facing a large financial strain that they couldn't have prepared for.
I have been exchanging a lot of emails and PMs from Apexpeed folks all over the world and I relayed those charitable wishes to Brian's brother Ian. Establishing funds, etc. has been discussed, but for now to streamline the process and cut out middlemen and red tape it has been determined it best to send donations directly to Brian's mother.
Now its time for the racing community to step up and show our love.
As you have read in the other thread, the family has at least another month of daily commutes to the hospital and disruption of their lives has become 'normal'. Every little bit helps cushion the financial blow.
Mike, i am just seeing this thread now for the first time. is there any way of keeping it from being buried in the daily rabble? i think this a great idea. i saw brian a couple weeks ago, and it's obvious that some help from our community will be extremely beneficial. and of course a check on the way....ric
