Default NJMP Atlantic Championship rounds 3 & 4

A week away and based on a list Monty just sent me it looks like a healthy growth in the entry level for the NJMP races. Looking like 17 at this point.

#2 Theodoras Zorbas Oyster Bay, NY K-Hill Motorsports, Hoosier Tires
K-Hill Motorsports Swift 014 Toyota 1600/ 1800

#5 John Thompson Perkasie, PA The Thompson Organization
Thompson Racing & Restorations Swift 014 Toyota 1600

#08 John Dole Swift 016/ Mazda

#8 Jean-Luc Liverato Alpharetta, GA Swift 016 Mazda

#11 Dwight Rider Aurora, CO Front Range Motorsports
Ralt RT-41 Toyota 1600

#12 David Grant Germantown, TN Hoosier Tire, Hasselgren Engineering
Polestar Racing Group Swift 014 Toyota 1600/ 1800

#19 Conner Burke Swift 014 / Toyota 1600

#24 Lee Brahin Cherry Hill, NJ New Jersey Motorsports Park
K-Hill Motorsports Swift 016 Mazda

#29 Joe Blacker Columbia, MD Ralt RT41 Toyota 1600

#34 Joseph Tauro Brick, NJ Swift 016 Mazda

#36 Bruce Hamilton Monkton, MD K-Hill Motorsports Swift 016 Mazda

#39 Chris Fahan Swift 016/ Mazda

#40 Keith Grant Germantown, TN Hoosier Tire, Hasselgren Engineering
Polestar Racing Group Swift 014 Toyota 1800

#46 Andy Schaufelberger Beacon, NY K-Hill Motorsports
Swift 016 Mazda

#55 John Burke Rumson, NJ Fast Pirate Swift 014 Toyota 1600

#66 Rich Zober Croydon PA Zober Industries Swift 016 Mazda

#90 Paul LeCain Ralt RT41 Toyota

Just imagine the sound at the start of these races.

The Atlantics will be racing 2 races in their own run group. Joining them for the weekend will be the F2000 cars and F1600 cars, both also in their own run groups. Should be quite the formula car weekend.

If all goes as planned, there will also be a Honda K20 powered car entered as a proof of concept. What would Atlantic be if the motors were good for 50 hours?

Also, Saturday afternoon 5pm, there will be a continuation of the Atlantic summit meeting discussion that started at Road Atlanta.

dunno all the details but I do have questions that I'd like answered and am going to Jersey to get answered. Like what rules is the car racing under ? weights ? engine prep? since its no longer an pro FM it should have to race as a true FA which means 10" ft and 14/15" rear wheels does it ? lots of questions

none are big deals just curious since this is a first time deal

That's because they have a DB-6 with a Fit installed, and have not sold the wings yet.
We miss the "pot stirrer" in the paddock on race weekends.

I thought it was an FF-Fit with a cam and valve spring kit, and no inlet restrictor.

BTW, awesome Indy-pawnage up above...congrats!

It is.

I was joking about the F20C, which is the 240 hp S2000 engine.

I think the Swift would be fun with 240hp. At least until the 1st turn.

4400 rpm? Who would want a racecar that sounds like a tractor. Oops... I apologize to those whom I offended.

Does this mean you should now be able to run 6 consecutive laps at any of the tracks we visit without 'puder-ing' yourself and/or fellow competitors?

A. 6 laps at the nurburing equals 924 corners. The equivalent of 132 laps of lime rock, 84 laps of watkins glen, or 77 laps of road atlanta. So doing 6 laps of the "green hell" isn't exactly a walk in the park. Coolest track EVER!

B. We're havin ourselves a rental car demolition derby. What's the newfie translation for "yardsale"? Cus that's what you're gonna be next time i see you!!!!!

Default Summary

There looks to be a good FA turnout for NJMP.

Baytos put a Honda K20A done by QS in a Pro FM to run in FA. No details on wheel/tire/weight/other config.

Many of us speculate there will be a Honda Fit with cam and other tweaks unrestricted as a new FC engine.

Stan posted some pics as jokes. I chuckled a bit but didn't really laugh.

Messieurs Morgan and Puderbach bantered some, but that's mostly insignificant.

Purple Frog may have posted, but I have him on my ignore list.

As usual, the only humorous comments were made by me.

That's pretty much it.

i also made a thinly veiled joke about a tractor motor in a race car but it wasn't that funny. Don't know what the gentleman from NY was talking about. It could be jive or French. Not sure.

Can't wait to see that fit motor in the ProMazda, though.

If Hyundai puts up enough support money, it could be a Hyundai engine in the future FC.
