"Wait, which one is the gas pedal again?"
Seems like it sold for at lot less money than it should have...

Maybe, but looking at the car and how long it has been sitting, it could climb up there in the costs to get it back on track. To add to that, its not really CF legal and it is also one of the less desirable Reynard models. I did a search on this site and most say the 84 and 86 were good car's, but the 85 missed the mark. Seems like the consensus was that it could be engineered to be better, but all these changes mean more $$ dumped into a car that could probably not beat a more modern car with an equal driver. I would be curious what some of the guys on this site think would have to be done to this model of car to run with a swift or any other newer model FF and what those mods would cost. Then we can see if it was a good deal.
On the other hand, it might be a fun track day car or regional ride if your not concerned with running up front and just want to have a good time. I guess it is a great deal as that is what this is all about for most of us.
I recall that the 85 Reynard rear suspension was considered a poor design and cooling was a problem. The 86 Reynard had an 84 rear suspension grafted on and the radiator was moved up front, that improved the car but made it look ugly, sales dried up.
