Flying. just (barely) a breath at T-2.....you were hooked up! I bet the first couple of laps over the crest of 2 got your attention....
Nice to see what a properly set up car driven to its capabilities can do.
Congrats Brandon and team. Thanks again for letting us under your tent on Friday night.

Holy crap, Professor! You make it look effortless. Congrats and good job! Off to find a good book on setup. Any suggestions?
Just a quick note to echo everyone elses sentiments...... wonderful track, great facility and and outstanding first event for the F1000 series. Jon Lewis did a great job putting this together.
And also a big thanks to our fellow competitors. Our motor showed up at 9pm Thursday night and we had a late night getting everything together for Fri morning practice. I don't know how many folks stopped by to lend a hand, or offer moral support, but it was a great show of support. Special thanks to Coop and Critter for the engine hoist. It made the installation a breeze.
We're slowly figuring out this Novak conversion and I think there's still a lot of potential there.
But I just filled out my customer satisfaction survey from CTMP (Mosport). Wow! They really want to understand the positives and negatives of the weekend experience and asked for input. of interest, one of the questions regarded the most favourite cars that raced the past weekend. Can you tell which cars I chose?
Some of us may not approve of corporate sponsorship (ownership?) of race tracks. But what I have seen so far has been nothing but positive. And the fact that they are looking for input from us is nothing but positive.
Very impressive all round.

Amusing - three days after the race, and still nothing on the series web site.
the Coop Chronicles should get the trigger pulled on it by Midnight!
(I have been recovering/resting/working since we got back)...
Brown,
I didn't get the survey, but I have a few things. 1) Race surface is rough as heck. 2) Need power hookups. 3). Need WIFI. 4). Need more showers. Everything else is fantastic!
Can you imagine how fast that place would be with a fresh repave? SICK!
Where do you get the customer survey?
The F1000 and SCCA pro people were great. The CTMP employees were raging *******s.

where were you paddocked? When F2000 was with ALMS last year we were paddocked out on the go kart track on the outside of turn 8. It was good and bad. Good because there were less people around to steal your stuff and because you could actually move your car without running over 100 people... Bad because it was a ridiculous place to paddock.
happened? Was this hot pit rrelated so I have no idea/never saw it?
Raging - 4 real?
Spill it, B!
(Back to work on CC's)
We were paddocked right at the exit from the pits to the paddock. Nothing wrong with that. There were spectators around but we put the sides up on the canopy and kept them out.
We had someone park right in front of our trailer on Sunday preventing us from hooking up to leave. I tried to get to the tower to ask them to make an announcement or send an EV over to move the car. First I had some track worker refuse to let me past the control point and be a complete dick about it. I had my credentials, he was just on a power trip. Eventually another track worker came over and said that my credentials were squared away and to let me in. No luck.
I moved around to another entry control point where the person controlling access had all of his chromosomes and got through without a problem. I tried to get anyone from the track to do anything to help us. The one person I could get to pay any attention at all offered this advice, "Just wait until it is over, they will leave." That was my sole interaction with anyone from the track and they are batting .000. I was not impressed.
We finally managed to set the gooseneck on the back of the truck (not hooked up) and move it backwards until we could hook up.
We also had some jackwagon park behind Critter's trailer and could not lower the lift!
I usually put a floor jack under the offender, and slide job 'em, but this was gravel.
Was this car on pavement? Shoulda got a couplea jacks and some strong backs and moved his shyte for him!
Remind me to tell you aboot the time I moved a guys Jeep Cherokee (which was blocking my little 'yota truck) with the returning rental F350 dualie.
If ya get the front bumper of an F350 riiiiiiiiight upto the rear outer bumper of a Cherokee they line right up. Select 4WD, and proceed to rotate said Cherokee 90*s, being mindful to "steer into the skid", so-too-speak.
The Jeep ended up between two other trucks, perpendicular to each, with curved black marks coming off each rear tire. It was E-P-I-C!
As this series gains more popularity we might need to bust out some velvet ropes and stanchions!
Edit - Sounds like they were in the grass, in front of your trailer.
I still say we shoulda rotated that bish out-the -way. Unless of course it was a huge vehicle...
Sorry for the delay in getting out info. As you can imagine, we were overwhelmed with putting on the show for our first event and I had planned to get info out to everyone on a timely fashion, but internet access was limited and we had a major problem with the motorhome on our way back. First race bugs to get out of the way.
Series live timing and scoring will be available as of NJ, the webcasts are all post produced, so they will be available around a couple weeks after each event.
We don't have the dedicated hospitality center, as only one team wanted to subscribe and that's not enough to support it.
We'll try to have better info out to everyone starting in NJ.
Mosport has to be the least connected place I have ever raced. Even my hotel didn't have working internet last year when I was there.
If the CTMP personnel refused to accomodate Wren, sounds to me like they are batting 1.000....
The CTMP "security" crew managed to refuse entry in the victory lane celebration to my father . They seemed to be randomly just telling people no.
they also refused my wife and daughter jeremy
Were folks required to have an SCCA Pro Racing hard card to be in friggin' winner's circle?
Guys that sucks, but 1 out of 3 still gets you in the hall of fame.
I suggest that a quick note to the attached link would go a long way to help track management correct this problem.
There is enough stress at the track without having to deal with this stuff. Perhaps new staff, perhaps lack of training, but regardless it needs to be addressed.

Jon, perhaps a quick note from you to your contact at the track would hold a lot of weight
Wren, I am not sure how I was selected to participate in the feedback.. too bad I heard about the problems after I had responded.
I truly feel that your comments will be heard and acted on. Now is the time to feed back your experiences so they can make the changes needed.

Sent a detailed email to CTMP. I detailed Wren's, Brandon's, and Jeremy's experiences. That sort of stuff is not acceptable. I'll bet most of it was due to new employees not understanding what should be done. I am sure it is not representative of corporate policy or the culture there.

Ultimately, it is not really going to matter. We are not going to have to deal with any Mosport people for the rest of the season. We are going to have to deal with the SCCA pro people and F1k people for the rest of the season and they were great. They came to us and did the logbook entry and teched Brandon's gear and made sure everything was ok. They were easy to get along with and I felt like we were treated like "customers" who were valued. Everything ran on time and sometimes they were even able to start sessions early and still run the session to it's scheduled completion time. If the season continues on like that then everything should be ok.
Congrats to Brandon and Wren, Coop, Jeremy, and all those who attended.
You're older than I thought.
younger than I look! No, wait...
Yep, Glenn you were seeing exactly what I was seeing...That oncoming traffic, near turn 2, it really slows you down....
and a healthy swig of the "Big Q" Sat night had me seeing orange robe'd Monks at T4 apex in Sun morn Q, but no oncoming traffic... weird, eh?
But the scent of Bratwurst & Vienna Sausage wafting across the track @ turn 4 was good aye?
You sounded a lot taller on the radio.
all the Vienna Sausage references?!!!
(CC's are almost done, hang in there!)
