Default Swift DB1 General Historical Documents

Looking for a soft or hard copy of:

    - The original DB1 brochure shown on Page 90 of the Vintage Motorsport July-August 2011 article about the DB1: 'Game Changer'

    - Cover and content of the Sports Car Magazine May 1984 article shown on Page 94 of the July/Aug 2011 Vintage Motorsport article noted above, maybe this also includes the ad shown on Page 96?

These items have not been posted before (note this is not the 1984 Road and Track Test article!)

    Email
    rwa.michael.wright AT gmail.com

Also after any other available Swift documents on the DB1.

Thanks- really appreciated. Pretty lonely down here with only one DB1 on the whole continent and probably in the hemisphere!

    Default different docs

    Marc,

The documents I'm looking for are two items not yet posted on Apex or in the Swift Registry section of Apex.

    As per original post above.....

    I know it's a long shot.

If I find them I'll post them.

Thanks to all who have responded to date.

    Still looking...

    Michael,

oooops, sorry, misread the Sportscar request,
well, maybe they'll all get together here in one post anyway.

You should also post a pic of your pretty, and only 'downunder' Swift..........

    Default "last" db-1 product card

This is from my "collection" of Swift db-1 stuff
Single sided 8.5" x 11" "hard" card - obviously for the '89ers - no mention of changes

Default "Sales" Flyer when purchased Car .......

.......... more from my "swift -db-1" collection

This was flyer printed for dealers as a "sales" tool -- it is actually one piece 8.5" x 14" double sided and folded - my scanner only 8.5" x 11" hence the four scans -

Interestingly, when Gibby restored the original db-1 now w/ Swift he had on it center locks - all early db-1s I saw delivered as new had four (4) bolt hubs - YET this flyer shows the center locks on the car and NOT "Centerlines" but maybe "Hayashi" and I have a set of each.

My "dealer" (aptly named for race car pushers) was Louis D'Agostino/Florida Sports Cars - later with Skip Barber, Forsyth Champ Car now Technical/Engineering Director for Belardi Indy Lights and F2000 Road to Indy

This is the original car, from it's first race. Its on Hyashis, but I can't tell if it is four bolt or centerlock.

Jim, any more pics of that day in 1983?

They certainly would be of interest to many I think.

Last I have.Turn 6 and impound, I think. You can see the centerlocks on the impound photo. I couldn't get anymore for the crowd of FF drivers around their paddock!

    OOPS!
Uploaded the wrong shot. Turn 6 coming up, below.

Great shots- what format are they? Do you have high res scans for posterity?

I'm putting together a brief DB1 history board to display in the paddock (saves a lot of questions...)

Hi res period shots are rarer than Chassis 001

    Default Hi Res

Sorry, but these were shot with a Kodak 110. One step up from a Brownie. Nothing Hi Res about them. They will print out in 4 x 7 or maybe 5 x 9 and still look good. Feel free to download them. Maybe others have some better shots they'd be willing to share.

To make space I will be deleting the scans on posts #6 and #7 - fair warning.
