PM sent last week but nothing back.
Phil is busy with a lot going on. I'll relay the message when I talk to him again.
Narrow or Wide Body?
The current form is 95 wide pod. I have 2 sets of 94 Narrow pod body work with floors and all. That is also for sale.
Current shop photo, Engine trans in.

If the shop is that clean and organized you can bet your bottom dollar the car is equally well looked after. My 2 cents worth. (please adjust for the Canadian exchange rate).
ummm... gross exaggeration aside, checked the exchange rate lately?

You 'Mericans are still winning...
That is really freaking confusing. Please, delete your comment on this post, please. I got the message on my phone and assumed it was the original seller's car that you were asking about and answered. Not to be rude, but, could you remove the two posts? If I were the seller, I would not be happy. I'm really serious about this car and hope that I get a list of spares before it is sold. My dander is up . I'm old and starting to get fat. I need a middle-age pacifer and smelled of frumunder cheese. Back to your regular scheduled programming.
I wasn't confused by any of this, not sure why I was asked about my car in this thread... calm down, my car sold, Phil's is apparently still FS and he's getting BTT from all of this... looks like a great VD, especially at that price
Aaron
Glad to hear you didn't confuse yourself as you were the poster. lol. You are telling me those two posts are not confusing to someone looking for a car that is still for sale? One asking if it's been sold and a response saying it was sold.
That is the problem with this site. There is no easy way to mark something sold. So, you have scan the posts. When someone scans this thread, they will think it is sold, when it's not. Now, that I've thought it through, I will request the mods to remove these confusing posts.
this is getting fun time
oh btw...
phil builds a darn nice car
when i'm "serious" about buying a car... i normally pick up the phone and call the seller
Cheers

I don't see any confusion!!???? Seems all normal Apex stuff to me. In the meantime, Phil is getting free bumps. Besides, calling on the phone is a far better communication method than posting notes on Apex - as Len attested to!
ok....... just finished cracking up over all of that, and dialing........hello?? hello?? is this thing on???
Car is sold, off to the West Coast it goes!
Thank you apex speed!
It is a pleasure doing business with Phil of Momentum Motorsports. I appreciate Phil’s straight forward candor and penchant for going the extra lap.
In addition to being a good family man, conscientious engineer, mechanic, and fabricator, he is a great ambassador and spokesman for motorsports. We need more people like Phil in the world.
Cheers,
g
Guy, I was great meeting you, rarely do get West Coast folks over here looking at cars. My family enjoyed your visit and of course it was fun for my wife to converse about England with you, she says enjoy the Tea Towel.
I'm sure you'll have a ball with this car, any body who has had one of these loved them, its a great car for you at this point of you driving career. Even better is having the quality assistance from JFC Racing prepping the car. Its a very smart way to go.
Congratulations ! and of course if you or JFC have any questions, dont hesitate to call
Phil
Interesting rolling table in the pics. A car jack on each corner to to get it at the level for maximum comfort
Hybels
was a clunky prototype, but works very well, there are fixtures that attach for an alignment platform. I now use hydraulic mid rise lifts that I modified and developed fixtures and such to square and align cars at a comfortable height. actually while in a rolling office chair. hate working on the ground!
I'm sure many of us would like to see your newest iteration if you feel like showing us.

RF94/95 makes it to the west coast . . . finally:

Congratulations Guy with the new FC.
If the pictures truly represent what the car looks like you got yourself a nice looking car.
So what are the plans, ICSCC or SCCA? Seattle and Portland? or maybe a little further out, Spokane? Grass Valley? Mission ??
Looking forward to racing with you my friend.
Michael
Thanks, Michael. I look forward to racing with you too.
Although the car needs some TLC (don't they all?), JFC Racing remarked that it is a good buy overall. Phil Picard was very generous with spare parts. Yesterday morning, it was better than Christmas unloading all the boxes from the BATS Motorsports transporter.
Time permitting the plans are to spend this season in ICSCC events sorting the car and working through licensing levels. As Phil mentioned, it will take a couple of seasons to get comfortable.
My 2012 season objectives are to focus on safety, remain receptive, and learn. Oh, I almost forgot . . . and have fun!
Please give my regards to Deanne, JC, and Mary.
Cheers,
g

Feel free to PM me or email anytime if you need help on setup or have any questions on your new car.
I ran a FC car for many years on the west coast and would be glad to help.
Phil;
My bulkhead does not have a removable access plate, as that area is concealed by the fuel bladder and riveted bladder surround (read: non-removable). What is it's function, please?
VR
Iverson
Rick,
The upper bulkhead section as viewed in the photo sequence had that removable section (VD id plate attached)
Thats how I received the car. I liked it because it provides more access to the front of the engine. So I duplicated it on the new bulkhead I fabricated.
Now, the bladder surround is not riveted in, but is slotted across the lower frame tube the plate at the bulk head now locks it in place. So remove some 10-32 s and access the front of the engine or the bag comes out in 5 minutes. it is very secure.

Great idea. I am rebuilding my chassis to sell as a roller/slider, and will incorporate this idea. Thanks.
