Default Vector GB-4 for sale whole or parts

Purchased for conversion into a Formula First but my plans have changed so this car needs to go ASAP. My current Formula First is also a converted Vector GB-4 and I am so impressed by the design, construction and large cockpit that I obtained this one.

Car is ex-Larry Bacon and competitive on the west coast, has fresh (drivers school time only) Ron Chuck engine (now sold) with Roxanne exhaust (which is available for $500). Ron has installed a different steering box and nose has not yet been modified to fit. Spare center body section and two noses are included. Car needs thorough going thru and body work before you head to track. Does not have transponder or belts.

E-mail me at LanceKTM950 at Gmail dot com for more photos and/or info. Car is located in western Chicago 'burbs and I can assist in delivery.

Asking $3500 for roller but will separate, beam assembly (drum to drum) for $500, transaxle (drum to drum) for $500, Wheels/tires (4) $125, frame/body as is $2000, have log book and can ship via truck from my business.

This was the first GB4 Greg Bruns built. In the time I had it I raced it successfully, and with a little cosmetic work this car will be top notch. The Chuck engine is strong, and the exhaust system is 4 weekends old!

Lance, sorry to see Your changing plans!

Based on new info from people who know the car I've raised the price of the engine. It's a good one!

Default A Diamond in the Rough

Stopped by Lance's shop this afternoon to look at the Vector. The body is in bad shape (as evident in the photos), but the basic car is very solid. It really just needs TLC to get back on the track. This is Greg Bruns personal car and has lead the Runoffs more than once. Larry Bacon ran it out on the Left Coast and was a tough competitor, even at 50+ lbs overweight (Larry is a big dude!). The chassis looks to be straight and has no indications of shunt damage.

I'm trying to find someone who would like to convert this to "it", a perfect candidate

Default Ron Chuck Engine - Bye Bye

Stopped by Lance's on Saturday to help pull the engine. Looks like the engine has a new home. Lance will be posting new photos of the roller. It could be bought as a roller (one chunk) or in various pieces (multiple chunks).

Either way, the car has a lot of top shelf stuff bolted to it.

    Mark,

Needs to be verified, but a safe bet is a 1.22 short

The engine is apparently going to have a new home but the rolling frame is still available as shown in the new photos along with the body pieces.

Will take $3500 as shown with practically new Roxanne exhaust, or front beam for $500, exhaust $500, trans $500, wheels $125, frame/body w/logbooks $2000.

If you're either near the Chicago area or willing to drive close to it I can meet you, otherwise it makes more sense to ship, which I can do via both FedEx Freight and FedEx package service.

Edit from Bill Bonow. Photos added for Lance.

Look! Real live Ron Chuck offset shock brackets! Those are worth more than the beam (if you could get them!).

And a double adjustable Penske on the rear. Good stuff on this roller, just needs some TLC.

    Lance,

Do you know if the exhaust is compatible with a Protoform P-2? Any photo's
    available for this exhaust?

    Thanks!

    Mark,

Shoot me your e-mail addy and I'll send you photos of the installed exhaust. I do not know if it will fit any other car.

This is an interesting spacer used to mount the steering box, where does one find one like this?

    Jean,

Not positive, but that might be a Ron Chuck item as well. If the car gets parted out, may be Lance could sell you that one?

Somehow I knew you were going to say that! Too bad it can't be exported from the USA...it's a sensitive item according to our government.

    Lance:

What you need to do is come up to Wisconsin and get yourself a whole bunch of speeding tickets (or just one OWI). Then you can trade me the roller for representing you and getting your butt out of trouble. Don't try that in Illinois though, I don't have a license there! lol

Can't believe you haven't sold that yet.

Thanks Michael. For now the plan is for it to stay a Vee. I would like to get it ready in time for the 50th...
